City lights
Kris D. was born 1985 in the far lands of Norway. Always having an interest for music, he spent his first years listening to rock and similar genres. However, at the age of 13 he came across what was known as trance and electronic music. Tracks such as L.S.G. – Netherworld, and the early works of the now infamous Tiesto quickly captured his interest. Albums such as the early Magik series and various releases by Ferry Corsten and his collaborations aswell as others made a lasting impact, there was no way back.
At the age of 15 he discovered the world of DJing. The livesets from club “Energy 2000″, the event Sensation in 2000 and the general impressions from the “Love Parade” in Berlin conviced him to look deeper into the act of DJing, and he soon started doing his first few livesets using software. Expanding from software he bought his first mixer and a second audiointerface, and then finally a CDJ a few weeks later. He started making appearences on local clubs and various radio stations over the next few months, and also started his own radiostation in collaboration with a close friend.

Turning the tables
Hardstyle.no quickly expanded into hardbase.net and became one of the leading radiostations for hardstyle and hardhouse on the internet. Knowing hardstyle and hardhouse would never be his true passion, he branched out and started Powershout Radio, focusing on trance, house and club instead. He hosted his weekly shows here and Powershout quickly became a success, serving a variation of streams for different genres of electronic music. He decided to focus his work on trance and progressive house, and launched what is known today as LiquidFM, hosting only one of the many streams available on Powershout Radio.
After years of DJing, he decided to take a break and focus on finishing his studies and the administration of LiquidFM instead. In the year of 2009 he’s slowly picking up where he left, but this time he’s also getting into producing! This is hopefully just the start of another journey in the world of electronic music and it’s many genres, so keep an eye out for liveshows and productions heading your way!
